This work speaks about staying in a dark place for an extensive period of time and the bliss felt when you finally leave that place. The bamboos are used because they spent a lot of time underground but when them shoot up they grow very quickly. The bird used is inspired by a Blue Mountain duck which is a bird that takes very long to learn to fly but once the begin to fly they spend most of their life flying and around water. So it’s really a story of triumph and how sometimes we just need to pull through because our flight is near
